Prof. Aws Alshamsan is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. Currently serving as the Secretary General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties since 2022, he plays a pivotal role in advancing healthcare standards. Prof. Alshamsan's exceptional academic contributions are reflected in his 90+ publications, which showcase his expertise and commitment to advancing the field. Additionally, he has been serving as the Editor in Chief of the Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal since 2020, driving excellence in pharmaceutical research and publications. Prior to his current position, Prof. Alshamsan held several esteemed roles, including Dean of the College of Pharmacy at King Saud University and Director of various research centers and institutes. With a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specializing in NanoBiotechnology from the University of Alberta, Canada, Prof. Alshamsan has made significant contributions to the field, including his work on the development of the cancer vaccine STIMUVAX® owned by MSD. Furthermore, Prof. Alshamsan is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, further enhancing his leadership and managerial capabilities.
