Raheel Shariff

Raheel is a renowned British Orthopedic Surgeon. Having done his basic and higher orthopaedic surgical training in the Northwest of England on the Merseyside rotation, he then undertook a highly prestigious and sought after fellowship in Baltimore, USA in foot and ankle reconstruction. He is dual fellowship trained, having also done a limb reconstruction fellowship at the world renowned center at RLUH Liverpool. Having been a consultant at the Central Manchester Univeristy Hospital in England where he was also the Head of Infection Control at Trafford Hospitals and a Royal College accredited trainer, he moved to KSA in 2017. He is in active clinical practice and has been Deputy Chief Medical Officer heading Clinical Quality at IMC Jeddah and Director of the Orthopedic Residency Training Program . He is invited faculty to many teaching courses in U.K and the US and serves on the Medical Advisory Board of Steps2Walk USA, which draws on the worlds leading orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeons. He is also invited faculty to fellowship programs in China and South America where he trains surgeons in complex lower limb reconstruction techniques. He has championed PROMs throughout his career and set up the first fully digitalised, live at the point of care PROMs program in the Middle East. Outside work he enjoys, hiking and golf.
